A 60-question assessment in your chosen specialty — 40 domain-specific questions and 20 behavioural questions. The behavioural section samples proportionally from six trait categories: calibration, instruction-following, ambiguity tolerance, attention under fatigue, bias awareness, and communication. Pass mark is 78%.
There's no time limit. Most people take 60 to 90 minutes and finish in one sitting. Take it at the pace that lets you do your best work.
The practice test is a free 15-question sample drawn from the same banks as the real test — 12 domain-specific questions plus 3 behavioural. It's designed to give you a real signal on whether you're likely to pass the Cognition Test before you commit.
Pass mark is 78%. If you don't reach it, you can retake the Cognition Test. There is no lockout period. The Cognition Test fee is non-refundable.
$85 for one specialty.
Weekly in USD via Stripe or PayPal. We operate four registered entities across the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, so payment runs are clean for subcontractors in those jurisdictions.
The Cognition Test is per-specialty. Passing the Generalist test qualifies you at the Basic tier (up to $30/hr). Passing a STEM test qualifies you at the STEM tier (up to $40/hr). Passing the Coding test qualifies you at the Coding tier (up to $100/hr). Passing Finance or Accounting qualifies you at the Professional tier (up to $50/hr). Law and Medicine, when they open, also qualify at the Professional tier.
Subcontracting. You're an independent contractor across the relevant Jobpeak entity. You control your own hours, tax position, and workload. We don't issue employment contracts.
